Silver 1987 VW Vanagon Westfalia Camper w/ 142k Miles – $15k in Santa Barbara
According to the seller of this van they have decided to move overseas and cannot take their van with them, so it’s up for sale here on craigslist in Santa Barbara. It sounds and looks to be in generally good condition and only has 142k miles on the clock. It’s got the desirable 4 speed manual transmission, all of the kitchen appliances work, comes with the hard to find jump seat, aftermarket cruise control (nice!), rear 2in hitch receiver and a few minor rust spots. What I don’t link about this is sale is the statement that “buyer is responsible for smog certificate”, ummm, you can’t do that in California. Seller is always responsible. If someone came from out of state to buy it, then that’s another story. Anyhow, does look like a decent van for $15k, especially in a region known for high prices Westys. The seller won’t be back to show it until early April, so you’ll have to sit on your hands until then.
