Rare 5 Speed 2.1L Westy For Sale Again – $8,500 in Tacoma, WA
I new this van looked familiar with it popped up on the Tacoma, WA craigslist yesterday(link). It apparently was up for sale in Burbank, CA on The Samba and Craigslist back in January, see the original post here. While a 2.1L engine and 5 speed transmission seem desirable, I’m wondering if the rust is just too much for the current owner, who stated it was purchased in September, which doesn’t make any sense if it was for sale in So Cal back in January. It appears to have some serious seam rust, but the owner says it runs and drives very well, with the exception of a little 3rd gear grinding. If you know someone who is into welding and body work and will hook you up with a deal, this might be worth looking into. However it could have endless unmanageable rust throughout judging by the bondo over job shown in the pictures. Find it in Tacoma, WA with an asking price of $8,500. Craigslist Link
