2004 Dodge Sprinter Airstream Westfalia Diesel for Sale In Encinitas, CA
While not a VW, it’s not often these gems come up for sale. While perusing Westfalia auctions on eBay, I came across this Dodge Sprinter 2500 Mercedes Airstream Westfalia. Ok, now say that five times fast. Or better yet, how about Daimler Chrysler Sprinter 2500 Airstream Westfalia? Turns out there’s even someone like me with Sprinter Westy Blog that posts about these same vans. 81,233 miles on 2.7 L Mercedes turbo diesel motor with 5 speed automatic transmission, this vehicle looks to be in spectacular shape. If you’ve got a few kids and want to hit the road for a while, this is such a perfect score, if you’ve got $50k stashed away somewhere. Lots of pictures to oodle over in the auction listing. I think I’d have a relatively high probability of driving it into low clearance parking garage at some point. Not sure how much more drag the top adds to these, but I’ve heard of basic Sprinter Vans getting close to 30mpg on the highway.

Solid 20 mpg.
Generator A/C where spare tire was located turns into rust because of exposure to salt (no case).
Sliding door has a common problem with refusing to stay unlocked. Dealers can’t figure out how to fix it.
