Selling a Syncro that isn’t actually functioning as a Syncro is likely a difficult situation to be in. I’ve posted about it twice already, first when it was $57k in March, then at $47k in April, now recently the seller’s asking price is down to $37k. This yellow custom 1990 VW Vanagon Syncro Westfalia appears to be fully kitted out, however the viscous coupler isn’t working and they have a decoupler that hasn’t been installed. This likely means the 4wd is not currently working. It’s obviously been repainted at some point, as I’ve never seen this color before. The seller says the van is “drivable”, but that can is a bit, well, vague. The other thing I mentioned last time around is that the pop top appears to have some serious mold in one of the photos. I have no idea how much it is to fix a broken Syncro drive train, however most that look like this one are usually north of $40k.
