Here’s an orange crush on a budget that got posted about an hour ago on The Samba and Craigslist for $8,900, available in Ft. Bragg, CA (Mendocino County). The seller says they intended to do a full restoration, but only got through the mechanical stuff before they were forced to sell it to buy a daily driver. While the body is a little rough, it’s hard to find a Westy with a fresh rebuilt engine for under $10k. There’s no mention of how many miles are on the body, but the seller states they’ve dropped about $8,000 into it recently including a rebuilt engine, new clutch, new brakes, new radiator, new tires, updated stereo, dash electrical panel and a new battery. There appears to be a bit of seam rust in the usual spots, and the headliner has some tie dyed sheets covering it, but other than that, this could be a great reliable van for someone looking to get into an entry level Westy for under $10k.
