Here’s another hometown find up here on the north coast that showed up on craigslist yesterday. This van is a 1985 VW Vanagon Westfalia Camper with stock 1.9L engine, stock manual transmission, 121k miles and appears to have been well cared for. In recent times this Westy has seen new brakes, brake lines, fuel pump, alternator, 3 window tent canvas, pop top seals and an awning. It’s got a recent SMOG certificate and is ready to go! The original UPS brown paint sports some pin striping and has aged rather well. According to the seller all of the kitchen equipment works, which is rare in a 30 year old Westy. It’s got a couple of Yakima wide body brackets mounted to the cargo section above the front seats, be sure to check for cracks in the fiberglass around these.
