1991 VW Westfalia Syncro w/ Subaru SVX
A few days ago when I was surfing on the north coast, I pulled up tot he spot and noticed what I thought might be this van, I parked right next to it in hopes of maybe meeting the owner, but by the time I got out of the water he was gone. However, after further inspection, it likely was not the same van. One of the major differences is I don’t recall the ladder, or the swing arm gas tank on the back. The bed liner trim around the wheel wells was also different.
It had been a while since I’d visited the Subagon site and noticed they do however have two pretty sweet vans for sale at the moment. The first Westy is a 2wd called “The Cheetah” and has an asking price of $43,500. This van comes with a 2003 Subaru 3.0 H6 motor with all the fixins, including a taller 4th gear for ripping down the highway. The “Grey Goose” is the other Westy they have for sale, and at $64,000, we’re wondering who can really afford something like this. However at the end of the day, if I had the coin I’d swoop it up in a heartbeat. Ain’t nothing quite like an SVX Syncro.
