Here’s a great find on the East Coast that showed up on my radar yesterday. This rig is a 1984 VW Vanagon Westfalia camper with 148k miles, stock 1.9L engine, stock manual transmission, original orange paint, and no visible structural rust. Aside from the fridge and sink pump not working, everything else is implied to functioning properly. While is does have a few tears in the original tent canvas, the van has recently seen new brakes, new fuel pump and filter, new hoses, new propane pressure regulator and full engine check up. I think the key points here are running, rust free Westfalia camper for only $5,500. No VIN is provided and the seller doesn’t state the mileage is accurate, however it looks pretty clean inside and out. Find it for sale in Brooklyn, New York. Craigslist Link
Made a deal with these guys to buy this, then they back out last minute and shipped it to germany. Real waste of time and bummer.
WHAT! I wonder if that will be a new trend with East Coast Westys, since they’re generally lower priced than West Coast ones. It’s at least $1,000 to ship it over, and likely a lot to import/register in Germany as well. Must have had some sentimental value?
