Updated: I noticed seller states they’ll take $12,500 in this forum. Maybe they’ve done some upgrades since?
I believe this is about as far away as I’ve gotten from posting a traditional Westfalia, but I couldn’t resist. Posted on craigslist(link) over a month ago in the Lake Tahoe area, this is quite the project Astro van someone’s been working on for a while. No mention of why they are selling it, but it’s been well taken care of, it could be a fun rig to mob around in. It’s a 1998 Chevy Astro Van with a 1999 5.7L V8 from a K1500 Suburban, with roughly 150,000 miles on the motor, 3,000 miles on the automatic transmission, no mention of what’s on the actual odometer. Among the FOX shocks and other awesome modifications, this van is also equipped with a Westfalia kitchen insert with upgraded 12v fridge. It’s also not the traditional AWD that came with some of these Astro vans, but rather a NP231C manual shift with custom drive lines and solid axles. WOW!. According to the seller they’ve invested over $30k into this van over the last five years. See the full details and specs on the craigslist listing.
Hey, I’m interested. Do you still have this van available?
