I received an email the other day from Lorraine about her 1991 Westy Weekender she’s selling and thought it was worth enough for a post. It is in Canada, and it’s borderline on the 25 year rule, since it’s a 1991, so if you’re in the states, you’ll want to make sure that’s all sorted out before you try to register her state side. At any rate, this weekender appear to be mostly stock with the exception of the hardwood floor and the three set of Yakima wide body brackets mounted to the pop top. Always be sure to check for cracks around rack mounts when you’re viewing a van. She did provide the VIN WV2TBO255MG008917 so you can do a title history check yourself to get more of the inside info. The 2.1L engine was rebuilt only 7k km ago, with the van currently having a whopping 407km on the odometer. Lorraine states it’s “Baja Ready”, and aside from a good sides dent on the drivers side rear, it looks to be a great shape. It looks like it might have power lowers, windows and mirrors, so these are kind of a risk in a place like Baja, as they are known to fail, and why I love the rare all manual stuff in a late model Vanagon. At any rate, check it out on The Samba in Victoria, B.C. Canada with an asking price of $12k. The Samba Link
