This morning I got an email from Joe in Illinois about his 1991 Westy camper with only 27k original miles and thought it was worthy of posting. Though it’s not for the feeble bank accounts, as he’s asking $40k for it, and in many ways I think it’s a reasonable asking price, only because I know there are people out there willing to cough up this kind of coin for a low mileage survivor like this. Comparably, there’s a similar one on craigslist in Washington with 10k more miles and the seller is asking $45k. Here’s the scoop; 1991 VW Vanagon Westfalia camper, stock everything, 27k verified original miles, automatic transmission, even the plastic sheeting is still on the steel stove cover, what? As I’ve mentioned before, I love the late model Westys without power windows and locks, so much less to go wrong on your adventure. In all honesty, this is one of the most showroom looking Westys I’ve seen in a while, every nook and cranny of this thing just looks flawless. If you’d like to do you own AutoCheck or Car Fax, the seller does provide the VIN (WV2ZB0252MH001069) and screen shots of their carfax report as well, included in their photobucket folder with 73 detailed photos. While Joe emailed me directly with the details, I also found it listed on The Samba Classifieds.
