Next up on this fabulous Wednesday is this 1991 VW Vanagon Westfalia Camper with only 110k miles, stock 2.1L engine (rebuilt 2011), stock manual 4 speed transmission and a handful of various upgrades over the past five years including: starter, tires, belts, brakes, muffler, bra and a Tempurpedic mattress. It does have some minor rust spots going on, and the seller was nice enough to disclose there is some rust under the windshield gasket, which should be fixed soon. No word on whether the kitchen equipment works, and it does appear to have two sets of Yakima wide body rack tabs attached to the pop top. The title check shows clean with an estimated 3 total owners. The van started out in PA, then in 2009 in went to Vashon, WA, now it appear to be back on the east coast. It will be interesting to see how much this van fetches in this region. I’m going to say $13k, whereas it could be closer to $16k on the west coast. Find it up for auction on eBay in Sylva, North Carolina and ending on the 6th of August at 11:19am PST. eBay Link
After 20 bids from 7 bidders, this van didn’t clear the unknown reserve price hurdle with the highest bid being $12,500. Maybe we’ll see it on the market again soon.
