1990 VW Vanagon Westfalia Full Camper – $16,900 in LA – 38k on New 2.1L Motor
I posted about this van a couple of weeks ago, you see the original post here and the ended eBay auction here, in which the highest bid was only $9,100. The seller has since relisted the van on craigslist with an asking price of $16,900. The body has 230k miles, while the motor is reported to have about 40k miles. It had what could be a new motor installed direct from Germany, not a rebuild. The paint is original and look ok, there’s some rust, but not too much, and overall appears to be in decent shape. The seller states that everything works, it has passed smog and they’ve got a clean CA title in hand. If all is true here, I think $16,900 is a fair price. $13k would be a steal, $19k might be too much.
