1988 VW Vanagon Westfalia Camper w/ Fresh 2.1L Engine – Auction

This nice looking well featured rig is a 1988 VW Vanagon Westfalia camper with 32k miles on a rebuilt 2.1L engine from Chris Corkins, Rock Mountain Westy stainless exhaust and cooling system, 4″ GoWesty lift and new shocks, new 3 window tent canvas, South African grill and headlights, custom roof rack and ladder, new LP tank and LP heater, full length awning and some big looking bumpers. Not mention of how many miles are actually on the body of the van, however the title check shows there’s likely close to 200k, along with some type of accident. There’s also a bonus van included for parts, a 1988 Vanagon Wolfsburg, not sure if it runs or if it would be worth shipping to the West coast.  While we don’t know who much they’re planning to get for this Westy,  I’m guessing $18k – $22k or so. Any others guesses on their reserve price? The van(s) and seller are located in West Yarmouth, Massachusetts and the auction ends on September 6th. eBay Link

  1. After 41 bids from 16 bidders, the highest price anyone was willing to go was $15,100. Too low in my opinion. I think it was worth at least $18k, if not much more.
