I’ve been watching this auction for a while now and the final bids will be coming in about 24 hours from now. This nice looking specimen is a 1988 VW Vanagon Westafalia camper with stock 2.1L rebuilt engine, stock rebuilt manual transmission and is for sale by Small Car Performance. It’s got a buy it now price of $25k, but no word on what the actual reserve price might be. The van was reported owned by a Boeing engineer most of it’s life, and the title records shows it’s been in the Pacific Northwest since 1988. All service a word records are supposedly available and come with the purchase. This is a pretty nice low mileage rig with a fresh engine and transmission ready to go. In this region and condition, it just might be worth $25k. I bet they’re hoping to get at least $23k for it. We’ll find out tomorrow when the auction ends at 1:30PM PST. Check it out in Tacoma, Washington. eBay Link
After 45 bids from 9 bidders, the final price was $21,500, and the reserve was met. I think someone got a decent deal here.
