TDI Motors back again with another nice looking clean Westy auction. This van is a 1987 VW Vanagon Westfalia camper with unknown miles, stock 2.1L engine(rebuilt 15k miles ago), stock 4 speed manual transmission, full working kitchen (implied) and some decent looks. The seller states the previous owner recently spent about $6k replacing all suspension and steering components, all fuel lines, fuel tank reseal and other odds and ends. It also comes equipped with an awning and a 2in hitch receiver. According to the Car Fax report this van started life on the east coast, then made it’s way to Colorado, before finding it’s was to Washington in 1994, where it has lived since. The mileage records show the odometer at 179k miles last month, however the picture of the odometer reads 130k miles. Hmmmm. Find it up for auction in Bellevue, Washington ending Tuesday, November 11th at 5:18pm PST. eBay Link / TDI Motors Link (w/ 48 photos)
A note to interested parties : Dig into this mileage issue. Maybe the posted the wrong picture? Make sure the sink, stove, fridge, water tank, propane tank, etc are all working. I think I see some rust bubbles in a seam near the gas cap. It also appear the rear heater core and fan may have been removed/bypassed?
A note to the seller : What’s up with the mileage discrepancy between the picture and the title report? Has the rear heather core been removed? Maybe share close up pictures of the that spot near the gas cap, some under carriage photos and pictures under the rear bench seat?
