Happy Hump Day! First on today’s docket is this 1987 VW Vanagon Westfalia camper with a rebuilt 2.1L engine, stock manual transmission and a horrible paint job, all for a nice low price of only $6,200. The seller goes into some good detail in their post and provides some decent pictures as well. If you can get past some of the cosmetics here, it could definitely be a good find for the price. Some of the features include; 3 point rear child safety belt, rebuilt 2.1L engine with AMC heads (no mention on how many miles on the body or engine), fridge still works on electric, propane tank needs replacing, needs a new muffler, new battery and some general TLC. Notes For The Seller : If this has a clean title, for $20 you could get a title check to share with the listing and you’d get a lot more interest, especially at this price. Crawl underneath with a wide angle lense and take some pictures of the undercarriage. Stating the undercarriage is solid without pictures is, well, eh… Also, showing the engine running with a simple smartphone video posted you YouTube would garner attention, even if the muffler is shot.
Notes For Potential Buyers : Get the VIN and do a title check on AutoCheck or CarFax. Look for title branding (salvage, etc) and check to see last mileage records and compare with odometer.
