This Westy was posted a few days ago on craigslist and I’m just now getting around to mention it. This van is a 1987 VW Vanagon Westfalia Camper with stock 2.1L engine, stock 4 speed manual transmission and 175k miles on the clock. It appears to be all stock and original with minimal rust. The seller states that everything works(kitchen appliances, etc) except the rear wiper. They also claim someone wanted it delivered to Burning Man, but fearing it would suffer the wrath of playa dust, they just couldn’t allow their van to suffer that fate, even with cash in hand… So, now it can be yours to enjoy instead. The seller also provided the VIN so you can do some checking up for yourself (VIN WV2Z80253HH040890). In my opinion, the asking price is a little on the high side if the engine or transmission have never been rebuilt, however there might be someone out there willing to cough up $14k for this rig. I think $12k would be a more reasonable happy price considering a variety of factors including the faded paint, dents and thought while nicely stock, the drive train is probably all original too. Find it for sale in Reno, Nevada with an asking price of $13,900. Craigslist Link
look interesting,n I live in Reno and would like to look at it please

Now with a lower asking price, getting close to that $12k ball bark, and this time around the seller mentioned the engine had been rebuilt. Starting to look more like a good deal.
