1987 VW Vanagon Syncro Westfalia Camper – $25k in Oregon

Here’s a nice looking price on a Syncro Westy that could use a little love.  This van is a 1987 VW Vanagon Synrco (AWD) Westfalia camper with 211k miles on the chassis, 40k miles on stock rebuilt 2.1L engine, fresh rebuilt transmission, new clutch, new ball joints, new sway bar link rods, new control arm bushings, new master cylinder and new front brake pads. What does it need?  Well, likely a whole new exhaust system. Other than that, it looks like a great Syncro Westy for the price.  The tires look a little big and you might get some wheel rub, not sure.   Find it for sale on The Samba classifieds in Lake Oswego, Oregon with an asking price of  $24,950. 1. This one sold quickly. I just missed it. Still in the market for 1987-1991 westy syncro. I have an ’87 westy 2WD but I have gotten it stuck a couple of times in places I frequent. 4WD is really what I need. I also am willing to part with 2 ’63 beetles (one is a donor) and a late ’67 split westy (12 volt). So if you know of anyone into trading across the ages…..drop me a reply.

    Cheers!
