1987 VW Vanagon Syncro Hightop w/ 2.2L Subaru – $16k in Denver, CO
Fresh up on The Samba yesterday is this 1987 VW Vanagon Syncro (AWD) Hightop with a 2.2L Subaru engine with an asking price of only $16k. It’s a home brew kit project for the most part and originally started as a basic Vanagon Syncro tin top. It does look a bit frankenvanish, but hey, a 2.2L Subaru conversion in a Syncro for under $20k is a deal. It also comes with a Westfalia cabinet with sink and stove, propane tank, propex furnace, grey water tank, fresh water tank, solar panel, 2nd battery, awning, swivel seats, new brakes, RMW bumpers, rebuilt transaxel, rebuilt steering components, bluetooth stereo, South African 15in wheels and a vareity of other odds and ends. There’s no pictures of the upstairs space, and it almost looks as if the Yakima cross bars run right through the high top. All in all, it’s kind of a hodge podge, but again, working syncro + Subaru 2.2L engine for under $20k. The Samba Classifieds Link
