Crazy to think I was just in Des Moines last week, and here we are with one of the first vans I’ve every written about for sale in the corn state. This van is a 1986 VW Vanagon Westfalia Weekender with a stock 2.1L engine, stock 4 speed manual transmission, unknown mileage along with newer paint, interior, brakes, clutch, wheels and tires. It’s also got a nice Kenwood head unit with amp, speakers and two separate flip down/out LCD screens to keep the kids stoked. For good measure it’s also got the Wolfsburg badge. The seller did provide the VIN: wv2xb0257gh114091 and it has the eBay title check report which shows; In 1991 it suffered some type of accident in the rear, and in 2005 the odometer was reported inaccurate. However, all in all this Westy looks pretty clean and considering the region you might be able to pick this up for a song. No word on the reserve price, but with 5 days remaining, the high bid is already at $8,000. The auction ends Monday, October 20th at 8pm PST. eBay Link
