The first van on today’d docket is a 1986 VW Vanagon Westfalia Wolfsburg Weekender for sale in Idaho for $4,500. The seller doesn’t say much in the listing on The Samba other than the following.
- The engine and trans seems to be okay
- It runs and drives fine
- It doesn’t leak any fluids
- Has some rust areas
- Might need exhaust replaced
- Odometer and speedometer not working
- Automatic transmission
Judging by the pictures, the pop to seals look a little rough, and there are no pictures of the tent. The dash looks to be pretty good with minimal cracking. It appears to have some funky home made rack towers and bars on it as well.
If the engine is strong and stays cool, and the transmission shifts smoothly, this is a pretty good deal for only $4,500. One of the nicer cheap Westy’s I’ve seen in a while. No mention of a branded title.
