Bam! Here’s a deal for those in the upper midewest region that just showed up on craigslist about an hour ago. This van is a 1986 VW Vanagon Westfalia Camper with stock 2.1L engine (rebuilt w/ 60k miles), stock automatic transmission(rebuilt w/ 15k miles) and 215k miles on the clock. It’s reportedly got a few loose odds and ends, and while the faucet in the sink doesn’t work, the fridge and stove reportedly do. The paint looks very faded, but according to the seller there is little to no rust and the seams and seals look decent in the photos. Find it for sale near Detroit, Michigan with an asking price of only $7,500. Craigslist Link
A Note To Potential Buyers: Rescue this survivor from the salty roads of the midwest! Get the VIN, check up on the vehicles history, look for red flags. If there’s no rust underneath and it runs and drives well, you’re likely in for a good deal here.
A Note To The Seller: Nice looking van, good price. If you provided the VIN and a title check report you’d sell this a lot quicker.
