Who’s afraid of a little rust on an East Coast Syncro? This no reserve auction in Rhode Island is definitely going to garner some eyeballs over the next few days. What we’ve got here is a 1986 VW Vanagon Syncro (AWD) Westfalia Weekender Wolfsburg in red with 109k miles, stock manual transmission, stock 2.1L engine and no title (what up Rhode Island?). There’s a photobucket album (link) with over 50 photos of this van showing a nice clean interior and uncracked dash, however the exterior appears to have some decent seam rust that will need immediate attention and might even require some cutting and welding to get it done properly.
