1985 VW Vanagon Westfalia Weekender Wolfsburg – $5,300 in San Francisco, California
Here’s one that’s likely been sold already, but the ad is still up and under 24hrs old. This van is a 1985 VW Vanagon Westfalia Weekender Wolfsburg with 173k miles on the body, stock 1.9L engine (rebuilt at some point), stock automatic transmission, clean title and unknown / unspecified amount of rust. The seller doesn’t provide much more details on the mechanical or costmetic side of things, but does state there’s a new stereo system with a sub under the rear bench seat. Note to the seller: When you live in SF, or anywhere really, post detailed pictures of the mentioned issues(rust) so people don’t spend inordinate amounts of time navigating traffic to come see it first hand.
Note to potential buyer: Get pictures of the rust before you go see it, seams, undercarriage, etc. Also get the VIN and do a title check with CarFax or AutoCheck.
