1985 VW Vanagon Westfalia Weekender Wolfsburg – $15k in New Jersey

Happy Monday fans! So, the first Westy this week has a bit of a higher price tag, but I’m drawn to it for a few reasons.  This rig is a 1985 VW Vanagon Westfalia Wolfsburg Weekender with 126k original miles, stock 1.9L engine, stock 4 speed manual transmission and is overall pretty much stock and original with the exception of a new stereo system, 16″ Mercedes CLK Wheels (nice!) and a new power steering rack.  The seller claims the van is 99.9% rust free and has been “babied” most of it’s life.  The auto check report shows a little funny business with an odometer reading, but I’m not sure what to make of it as it appears it could have been a mistake.  The van has lived in Ohio most of it’s life, but in more recent years has been in the New York area, and currently has Jersey plates.  The original tent canvas looks to be in good shape and the owner mentions something along the lines of it being recently “waterproofed”.   I think this Westy is worth at least $10k, with the current Buy It Now price of $15k being a bit on the high side. However, some things to consider here are: 126k miles, no rust, east coast and look at that perfect uncracked dashboard.   So, there’s likely someone out there that may be willing to drop $15k on this if it’s exactly what they’re looking for.  Go check it out in Princeton, New Jersey and/or make the seller an offer via eBay. eBay Link
