Here’s an interesting mash up of aftermarket tops and engines. The Riviera tops are hot today, and here’s another one, only this time with a fresh 2.2L Subaru with all the proper conversion parts. This 1985 VW Vanagon Riviera comes with a fully rebuilt Subaru 2.2L engine, automatic transmission, new orly blue paint job, GoWesty swing arm set up for the rear, new propane tank, Suburban propane heater, Go Westy 16″ wheels w/new Firestone all season radial tires, new axles and CV joints and boots, GoWesty high power headlight kit, Bilstein shocks, front skid plate, new fuel lines, new spark plug wires, working stove and fridge, three batteries! and all kids of other extras. There’s no A/C, no stereo, no curtains, the water tank pump doesn’t work, a couple of pin holes in the pop top and a small rattle in the muffler than can’t seem to be diagnosed. The van is located in Taos, New Mexico and the auction ends on May 18th, with a current starting/asking bid of $18k. Keep in mind a good Subaru 2.2L conversion costs upwards of $14k. eBay Link
