1984 Westy w/ Subie 2.2, Gas Shocks & More!
A friend of mine’s parents came to our housewarming party the other day and were admiring our Westy in the driveway. They inquired about finding one locally, which is usually slim pickin’s up here on the North Coast. There’s this van, but the seller hasn’t gotten back to me with pictures or more details. At any rate, the next closest van I found was quite impressive, which is this 1984 Westy with a relatively fresh Subaru 2.2 conversion and some other nice upgrades, with original orange paint and 170k on the odometer. The rear seat (and possibly the front) have been reupholstered in a two town brown & beige. It comes with Van Cafe 15″ wheels, which are large enough to add a big break kit if you’d like, you just need to find the spindles first. You’ll have to get on the waiting list at GoWesty for those. According to the seller, it’s got 0 rust, which is pretty awesome for an 1984. All in all, if I didn’t have a Westy of my own, I’d highly consider this one.
