1984 VW Vanagon Westfalia w/ Subaru Engine – $16k in San Clemente, California
Updated May 21, 2014: It appears this Westy is now for sale on eBay with a Buy It Now price of $20,000. Not sure if it’s the same owner, or if someone bought it and is now flipping it. eBay Link
I first found the craigslist ad for this van which didn’t give many specifics and only had one picture. After a bit of perusing, I also found it listed on The Samba with more pictures and slightly more detail. Here’s what could be a decent deal on a 1984 VW Vanagon Westfalia camper with a Subaru motor (2.2L?) and manual transmission. It does have upgraded seats with arm rests (the original ’84s didn’t have arm rests), a 3 window tent, new fridge, solar panel, awning, Mercedes 16″ wheels, upgraded stereo, Thule rack (and box?), newer clutch and radiator.
