1984 VW Vanagon Westfalia w/ 2.5L Subaru – $20k in Seattle, WA
Today’s first van appeared in the Facebook group Subaru Powered VWs and was posted by the seller on craigslist late last night. This specimen is a 1984 VW Vanagon Westfalia camper with 280k miles on the chassis but has had enough awesome upgrades that the only give away is the original 2 round headlight grill, otherwise it looks much newer than ’84. It features the Subaru EJ25 2.5L engine with a hard wired scan gauge, new coolant system, newer manual transmission, Audi big brakes on the front, 2″ Go Westy lift kit, Bilstien shocks, 16″ wheels, 3 window tent canvas, truck mirrors, fender flares, awning, Yakima rack, cargo box, dual batteries, 1000w inverter, Rock Mountain Westy rear bumper w/ spare carrier, 21″ LED LCD TV (what!), awning, upgraded front seats and a later model Dometic 3 way fridge from a 1990 Westy. This is quite the well sorted rig for only $20k, however I’m not sure if you can find a DMV referee to give it a thumbs up in California, so do your homework if you’re a CA resident.
