1984 VW Westy Full Camper Auction – EPIC Condition – Auction Ends Dec. 13th at 10pm PST
I noticed today this GoWesty model van (really, it has posed for their website) is up for auction on eBay and it appears there is no reserve price (or it has already been met with a $7,200 current high bid). This appears to be a minty specimen with all kinds of records and receipts from Van Cafe, Bus Depot & Go Westy (in a 3 ring binder!), with roughly 146k on the clock. For an 1984, the body and interior look close to flawless and the leather seats I have not seen before in this year of van. I think this could sell for at least $10k, any other guesses? It’s located in San Bernardino, CA but can be shipped according to the seller, so contact them for a quote. There is a similar 1984 van with 142k on the odometer for sale (still!) up here in Arcata, CA for only $9k that I wrote about a couple weeks ago.
This looks like a lovely one. I bought one , same year and same colour a few months ago. Time for me to take out the minimal rust and touch up those few spots, but the colour code doesn’t match anything the auto paint stores have listed. So I wonder if you would know what yellow this is? I think it may be lemon yellow, but faded from it’s original. The only other one I could find was sunshine yellow, but don’t think that’s it. Any knowledge would be appreciated. Thanks, Rick Patterson
