1984 VW Vanagon Westfalia Camper Orlando, FL Auction
Here's a great looking brown/tan 1984 VW Vanagon Westfalia Camper with the Wolfsburg trim, powered by the stock 1.9L engine with 4 speed manual transmission. The seller lists a wide range of recently replaced and upgraded items, and overall it shows very well in the pictures. Listed in the description are
New propane tank, Bluetooth Radio & USB charger, GPS & backup camera, trailer hitch, ARB Awning and Deluxe Awning Room with floor, upgraded H4 headlights, upgraded Land Rover side mirrors, new canvas pop top, new shocks, new rubber brake lines, new fuel lines & fuel injector rails, pump, & filter; upgraded tires & alloy wheels 215/60VR16L; new rear wheel cylinders & brake shoes; new catalytic converter; new sink pump, headrests on rear bench; insulated, lined curtains; side step; rain fly; windshield & front window privacy cover; new utility fixtures (shore power & water); front bearings; spark plugs; fuel filter; oil filter; TV (mounted) & Blu-ray player; LED lighting; auxiliary battery with inverter; new shift linkage; First Aid kit; fire extinguisher.
Quite a laundry list, though no mention of the state of the engine and transmission. The seller states the odometer no longer works, and the last odometer reading was in 1991 at 108k miles. My guess is it's not the original powertrain. That's a fair amount of travel in her first 7 years. It appears to have been listed on Auto Trader at one point, but listing has been removed. There are seat covers on the bottom of each of the front seats in the photos, be sure to ask what they look like underneath.
The eBay Auction Ends Monday April 27th at 7:30 AM Eastern (Orlando) time. The buy it now price is quite high, at $25,000, and there currently at least six bidders looking to drive (or ship) this beauty home.
