1984 VW Vanagon Westfalia Camper – Auction in Lucerne Valley, CA ends 1/14/15

Here’s a fresh estate find that just went up on a seven day eBay auction. This van is a one owner 1984 VW Vanagon Westfalia Camper with 140k miles, stock 1.9L engine, stock manual transmission and one of the highest Auto Checks scores I’ve ever seen at a 51 ( VIN WV2ZB0255EH050428 ).  While it currently resides in the southern California desert, don’t let that fool you as it’s lived in Florida and Massachusetts earlier in life.  According to one of the minimal details provided, there is something that reads “Seem in cab separated“, and there does appear to be some typical kitchen rocker panel seam rust going on in the photos. No mention of if or how well anything else works (kitchen, gauges, etc), so you’ll pretty much just have to go see this one before making a bid above their $6k starting price. Live in the LA area? Available in Lucerne Valley, California with the auction ending on Tuesday, January 14th at 2:04 pm PST.  (eBay Link)

If this rig runs and drives well, along with no structural rust underneath, I’d say it will go for at least $9k, maybe as high as $14k if everything checks out. Got any thoughts on this one?  Leave them below, or head on over to Facebook, Twitter, Pinterest or Google + and join the discussions there.

  1. This one is back up for auction again, ending Tuesday February 17th at 4pm PST. eBay Link

The last time around it only got $6k, which was of course not enough for the seller to part with it.
