1984 VW Vanagon Westfalia Camper Auction in Battle Ground, IN

This paint job always reminds of half an ice cream sandwich, maybe that was the point?  This 1984 VW Vanagon Westfalia camper has the stock 1.9L engine, stock 4 speed manual transmission, original two tone paint, clean title and only 101,000 original miles.  There’s a free Auto Check report on the eBay site that shows what appear to be 2 owners, possibly accurate mileage and a lifetime of being registered in the state on Indiana.   The seller is a man (or woman) of very few words, however they do state it has been garaged all it’s life and that everything works perfectly, including the kitchen appliances.  It does appear to have the original tent canvas, and for 1984, it’s probably the best looking test canvas I’ve seen in the 30 year old range.  While the pictures are kind of fuzzy, they’ve either gone to great lengths to detail this thing to the max, or it just is really that well cared for, or even both. Look at the slider door track in one of the photos, it looks brand new.  Another interesting specimen from the earth north west central region of the US, or whatever it is labeled.  Any guesses on the reserve price?  I’m going to say $15k?  The auction ends on Tuesday October, 3rd and the vehicle is located in Battle Ground, Indiana. eBay Link

  1. After 17 bids from 6 bidders, sold for $12,000. Sweet deal if it’s all legit, winning bidder is stoked.
