1983.5 Vanagon Westfalia Full Camper w/ New GoWesty 2.2L Motor – $9,800 in Indiana
Here’s a new nice sample of the first year of water cooled vanagons, with a brand new 2.2 GoWesty motor installed (along with radiator, exhaust, etc). As far as I can tell, the van is only listed on AutoTrader and resides in Bloomington, IN. The seller says there are 168k miles on the odometer, the fridge doesn’t work, the propane tank is toast, and there is some minor rust in the rocker panels. Otherwise, it appears to be a very well kept Westy for being over 30 years old. If you live in the Midwest and are looking for a decent Westy for under $10k, this could be your ticket! I’d maybe ask the seller who did the engine replacement and if/which warranty it has from GoWesty.
