1990 VW Vanagon Westfalia Synrco w/ VW 1.8T Engine – $70,000 in Humboldt County, CA

I’m used to seeing most of the local Westys here, however I’m not sure if I’ve seen this beauty before, maybe once at the Arcata CO-OP, but it’s been a while. At any rate, here’s quite the dream machine with hefty price tag of $70k available in Humboldt County, CA, McKinleyville to be more specific.  The van’s power plant is from a 2005 VW Jetta 1.8 Turbo complete with  Turbo Boost Gauge and transmission with a taller 5th for highway cruising. The vehicle itself has about 200k miles, with the 1.8T engine having roughly 10k miles. No mention of where the conversions and upgrades were done. Stephen’s Auto Haus in Sacramento is known for good 1.8T set ups, however they’re likely close to $20k for 0 miles engine.  Other features of the gnarly beast include a stainless steel cooling system, upgraded vacuum decoupler for the 4wd, auxiliary propane tank, Propex heater, Hella headlight kit, new deep cycle batteries, truck fridge, pop top assist struts, Yakima roof rack set up and a nice CD player. It also features  along with power windows, locks and mirrors, which I’m not generally a fan of because of their failure rate with these, however they are a luxury. I’m going to email the seller and see if they could provide more details or pictures.
