  2. I want to buy a 2004 – 2006 Airstream Westfalia. Big thanks in advance for any leads folks may have on helping us find one!

  3. former westy owner thinking about doing it again

question is where to find reliable and accurate info about the ’90’s westies, compared to the 84 we owned.

    thanx

  4. This site is just what I’ve been looking for! I am in the Midwest so it’s slim pickins. This one is about an hour away:

What jumps out at you when looking at this ad? Any inquiries you’d make before hauling down there?

Any help would be enormously appreciated!!

    • Nice van for that region. I’d do a VIN check to ensure mileage is accurate and history isn’t too crazy. It’s an automatic, which I’m personally not a fan of, however I see its utility. If there’s minimal rust underneath, and the shown seam rust doesn’t look too bad, it’s worth at least $15k in that region, but could sell for much more on the West Coast. If the seller would address the seam rust, swap in a shelf set up or Truckfridge, fix all the window/blower motors issues, etc. They might be able to sell it for $20k+.

  5. Hi there,

I know it sounds counterintuitive after my diesel response. But, I am also in a state with really low speed limits and I am looking fo ran affordable to buy and own Westy..I might be best off with a Diesel in a all around sense.
I could be wrong too, and better off with a solid platform to save up to put a Subie 2.5 in.
I was wondering if your friends that have owned the 1.9 diesel might be able to share the thoughts they have with the ownership? I don’t want to make a mistake.
